Pilgrimage of San Marcos 2025.

The Brotherhood of San Marcos is already preparing everything in Puente Genil for its pilgrimage of San Marcos 2025.

The celebration starts on April 24th with a Mass in the Church of San Francisco de la Asunción at 9:00 p.m., officiated by the town’s archpriest, Juan Ropero, and continues with the traditional Velá de San Marcos in the Príncipe de Asturias Forest Park, popularly known as Garrotalillo Park. The ceremony will feature musical accompaniment by the Raíces Pontanas Choir and the Alma Flamenca Cultural Association. Afterwards, the group “Retales” will perform a concert in Príncipe de Asturias Park (Garrotalillo).

On April 25th, the primary day of the celebration, the pilgrimage will begin at 10:00 a.m., departing from the Church of San Francisco de la Asunción and following its usual route, with stops at the statue of Our Lady of the Forsaken, the Angelus prayer with the Castellares Association, and finally, at the Plaza de Los Jarales.

San Marcos will be accompanied by drummers, maintaining the essence of this celebration so deeply rooted in Puente Genil.
